SEÑOR

Dispatches from the gap between how the world works and how we pretend it does.

Aboot

Let’s go through here even though it’s not quite the right time….

Ex Nihilo

There were goings on and such that were only being shared with those within earshot, one of whom believed that a broader audience is interested in such things, and so, unconvinced, I took the steps necessary to create this place.

Becoming Acquainted

Waving hello and welcoming you. Once docked, you will be offered an ice cold towel scented with essential oils and a “tasty beverage”.

Those who have read Leo Africanus already know me. Now reincarnated into a fit mesomorph that is struggling with metabolic syndrome in the fourth decade of its existence, I may from time to time contradict myself.

“Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
(I am large, I contain multitudes.)

I concentrate toward them that are nigh, I wait on the door-slab.

Who has done his day’s work? who will soonest be through with his supper?
Who wishes to walk with me?

Will you speak before I am gone? will you prove already too late?”

Or will you, at your leisure, slip on a pair of rare collab kicks and browse this semi-permanent Feria and linger at a stall or two and perhaps make a purchase. There will be variety and Señor’s energy-and-time-back guarantee applies.

-Señor circa 1342

So bookmark or subscribe if you are interested in enriching your life and forestalling an ignominious death.

If not then I will burn this place to the ground.

The original SEÑOR banner: the name in white pixel blocks along a city street

The original banner. It held the top of every page from 2013 to 2026, thirteen years of letting the name spell itself out in white blocks on a street corner while everything written underneath it changed. In 2026 it was stood down and replaced by a cutting from itself: the lettering, lifted out and set on black. Thank you for your service.
